Speaking Response Recording

If the candidate sees a flat line (no waveform) in the recording section whilst they are speaking (as shown below), it means their voice may not be recorded.

What to Do Next:

  • Check that the candidate’s headset is properly plugged in and functioning.

  • If this does not fix the issue, instruct the candidate to exit the test and confirm their microphone setting (see guidance below).


Note: If no audio is recorded, the candidate may be required to retake the Speaking module.
