Music - Face to face exam: Appointment information

For Classical and Jazz exams booked online, the following appointment information will apply:


You will receive a confirmed time and appointment slip by email, within 24 hours of booking.


Please be sure that all exam details are correct and that candidates and accompanists can be available at any time on your chosen day to attend the exam at the venue you have selected.  You will be allocated the next available time slot on this day, which is likely to be between 9am and 5pm but could be after this time. Exam times and other exam details cannot be changed after your booking has been made or at the point of receiving your appointment details.

Please note, if you cancel an exam within the 14 day cooling off period, including cancelling in order to book at different date, venue, instrument or grade, in accordance with applicable consumer laws, we will retain a sum of £15 from the entry fee to reflect the work undertaken by us up to the point of cancellation.



For Classical and Jazz exams booked via postal entry, the following appointment information will apply:


Exam appointments are normally sent 21 days before the exam date. The appointment form will confirm the Trinity ID number allocated to the candidate, the grade and subject of exam, and the date, time and place of the exam. Please note that Trinity will not accept any request for changing an exam date, time or place following the issue of an appointment form.


The application form allows you to entered preferred dates and times, however whilst Representatives will do their best to meet requests to avoid specific dates, this cannot be guaranteed



For Rock and Pop exams, the following information will apply:
